MAURICE GREENE SETS SIGHTS ON 60 METER INDOOR RECORD AT NEW BALANCE INVITATIONAL AT REGGIE LEWIS TRACK & FIELD CENTER ON FEBRUARY 7

World champion Maurice Greene will seek to break his own world indoor record (6.39 seconds) in the 60m event at the fourth annual New Balance Invitational to be held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center on Sunday, February 7, from 2:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Greene is confirmed to headline a 60m field that will include Dennis Mitchell, Percival Spencer, Kareem Streete-Thompson, Tony McCall and Brad McQuaig. Should Greene or any other American competitor set a new American record in any one of the 13 events, New Balance Invitational sponsor Barron Chevrolet will award he or she a brand new 1999 Chevrolet Blazer.

The New Balance Invitational, which will air on ESPN the week of February 8, and will feature some of the top names in international track & field.
